We are delighted to return to Jersey Children’s Day this year by providing a stall of instruments for children and young people to try out with our team of excellent teachers. Children’s Day was recommended by a Citizen’s Panel following the Independent Jersey Care Inquiry. It is an opportunity to remember and commemorate Jersey’s past, but also to celebrate childhood and to look forward to the future.
Last year, we had a fantastic time thanks to all those who came to see us and tried the various instruments on display! Around 8000 people came down to Howard Davis Park and we had over 500 children try out instruments! We were so proud of the JMS Drum Corps, Advanced Brass Ensemble and Big Band who along with members of Youth Arts Jersey took to the stage and inspired all those there to enjoy the day!
