An open-air concert in Howard Davis Park proved to be the perfect finale to a great year for Jersey’s young musicians.
The sun shone as hundreds of Jersey Music Service students took to the bandstand to perform in front of their family, friends and the general public on Saturday 30th June.
The Training Wind Band performed first, followed by the JMS Brass Band, Intermediate Wind Band, Guitar Ensemble, Training Orchestra, Intermediate Orchestra, Jersey Youth Orchestra & Jersey Youth Strings and finally the Jersey Youth Wind Band who played on into the evening.
Commenting on the event, Graham Cox, Principal of JMS said, “It has been a joy to watch these youngsters develop their ensemble and performance skills over the past year. They are a talented bunch of young musicians as anyone who came along to Howard Davis Park at the weekend will have discovered and our talented team of teachers have done a fantastic job with them this term.”
